17018 The Speed of Change
Things are changing. And they are changing fast.
I remember when I saw my first iPad on a flight. I was mesmerized. Remember what those used to cost in the beginning? Like my annual pay check. That was only 8 years ago.
I remember when we still took cash inflight. We'd be scrambling to reconcile the flight on descent, paging pax to make change then shoving it all in an envelope we'd have to give to the agents once landed. Some days I'd still find $1s in my apron when I got home.
I remember Cordon Bleu in couch for God's sake! Gone are those days...
Enter a very soon reality. As much as commercial space flight is already in the works, I wonder if I'll one day be trading in my wings for rockets.
But Root Beer is definitely a pipe dream.
