A Trick for Getting Good Sleep - Product Review

flight attendant crashed in bed sleeping for 48 hours

Sleep—it’s kind of a big deal. Especially among flight crew. We all want it, crave it. We’re addicted to it! But rare are the nights when we actually achieve it.

Let’s face it, falling asleep is hard. I lie awake, worried about my early wake-up call. A random bump in the night thwarts any progress my body has made. I glance erratically at my digital clock. 20 minutes go by. 40 minutes go by. An hour! Still, the Sand Man refuses to come.

I know you can relate.

Maybe you’ve tried different things — bedtime yoga, chamomile tea, bubble baths, self-hypnosis, Tibetan chanting, Ambien and wine…and perhaps some of these methods even helped. But how many times do you want to see a naked picture of yourself [on Facebook] in an Ambien stumper sleepwalking down the hotel corridor? I know I don’t.

So what’s a flight attendant to do?

About a month ago, Arthur from InstaSleep contacted me. He thought, in my flighty profession, I could benefit from his sleep aid. How on earth did he know I was sleep deprived?

To be honest, I was skeptical. I don't like sale-sly things, and I especially don't like putting them here on Jetlagged. But on the phone Arthur sounded honest and well-meaning, so I let him send me some samples.

Holy cow it worked!

I’ve taken InstaSleep for 16 nights now. And each night within 10-20 minutes I’ve fallen blissfully asleep. As a bonus, I wake up with no trace of grogginess — I even got up before my husband a few times, which is crazy, ask him!

My routine is simple: after brushing my teeth I pop one on my tongue. It’s little and white and resembles a mint (it also tastes a little minty, but not too much). It dissolves in less than a minute. I usually read in bed, so after a couple of pages I’m ready to go down. It’s not a strong, overwhelming feeling of fatigue, but rather a gentle nudging, a soft suggestion. Like a kiss from a kitten. And then I sleep! Amazeballs.

It's getting great reviews on Amazon, even from fellow flight crews! You can find it on Amazon at amazon.com/instasleep.

On InstaSleep's website, it's described as “...a drug-free, non-habit-forming sleep aid formulated by physicians and comprised of three natural sleep ingredients: 5-HTP, GABA and Melatonin. This combination promotes calmness, aids in relaxation and regulates the sleep and wake cycle, helping to signal you to sleep.”

It was also featured in Hemispheres Magazine on all United Airlines and in INC Magazine.

Arthur and I want you to get good sleep too, so the next 20 people who sign up for Jetlagged’s Fan Club will receive a free sample box (includes 16 tablets).

Also, Arthur is giving readers of Jetlagged Comic a 20% discount when you purchase through Amazon using code “nojetlag” (this is an affiliate link and I do receive a small commission on each sale).

If you’re having trouble falling asleep, or you’re ready to make a healthier sleep aid choice then give it a try and let me know how it works for you.

Happy Sleepy-Time Everyone!
