Jetlagged Interviewed on KSDW Radio

Jerry Langford, Kelly Kincaid and husband Robert Fuette at the studio

I recently met an outgoing man named Jerry. He boarded my flight to California with individual boxes of chocolates for all us flight crew. On the back of each box was a heart-warming message of gratitude for the work we did. I was touched. So I drew him a little cartoon as a thank you.

A little while after handing Jerry the cartoon, he stops me and hands me his card.

"I know who you are. My daughter is a flight attendant and she has been sending me your cartoons for years. I'm also a morning radio show host. I'd like to interview you."

.....Waaa?!

Jerry hosts for the radio station 88.9 fm KSDW (96.9 fm, & 91.3 fm, owned by K-WAVE) heard from Barstow, Hesperia & Joshua Tree all the way down through Moreno Valley, Temecula Valley, San Diego to the border town of Tijuana.

O.m.g.

Moi, on the radio? It's a dream come true!

About a month later my husband Robert and I meet Jerry at the K-Wave studio in Orange County. I was nervous, but Jerry put me at ease by performing magic tricks, telling hilarious stories about his many adventures and introducing us to the awesome and friendly KSDW team. I soon found myself decked out in headphones with a giant microphone in my face.

We recorded for about a half hour. It all happened in a blur and I can't remember a thing I said! So I hope I don't disappoint you, Southern California, when the interview airs at 10AM PST next Monday May 28th on Memorial Day!

Jerry is giving away copies of my autographed books leading up to the interview. So if you're a local, listen in for a chance to win a book!

I sure am glad I drew Jerry that little cartoon that day.

Thank you to Jerry Langford, K-WAVE and everyone over at KSDW!
