Summer Sun! + Cartooning Time Lapse Video
My husband Robert and I sailing our little boat the Sea Pup
Boy, it's hard to get anything done with the weather being so nice in Seattle! As you can see, I'm not having any fun at all. Well, maybe just a little. I wanted to show you what I like to do when I'm not a slave to the drawing board--sailing! Or rather in the picture above, motoring because there isn't enough wind. ;-)
My two favorite uncles are visiting from out of town this week. Every year they rent a cabin on Vashon Island (outside of Seattle). We have a little sail boat near by, so when they're in town, we sail over for a night or two for a quick get away. It's so refreshing and re-energizing being on the water! I think it's so important if you're a busy person, to incorporate lots of down time too.
Our little boat is 1975 Catalina named the Sea Pup and she's so cute. I'm still a novice sailor, but she's a great trainer. She's a peaceful place to hang. Sometimes when my office is too crowded with junk and cats and husbands, I head down to the marina and hop on board. It's very therapeutic to sit quickly in her tiny cabin and sketch away.
Beside sailing this week, I also uploaded a new time lapse video of me cartooning today's cartoon "18035 Nice Beverage." I hope you guys like the time lapses. It's a new thing I'm trying out! (It's a silent film. I just realized I forgot to add sound!). Enjoy!
